For most people, presence is something that is rare and fleeting. Instead of living in the Now, they listen to the barrage of thoughts of the ‘thinking mind’.
It constantly creates a story as it fixates on a remembered past or an imagined future. This results in disconnection from the body and missing out on the only thing that is truly real - life itself, the present moment.
How can you shift from this identification with mind and discover the clarity and peace of present-moment awareness?
A valuable key is Self-Inquiry.
Self-Inquiry is a spiritual tool that supports and ‘points’ to the truth of who you are. The technique uses Koans: a type of ‘question’ that draws the attention beyond thought, where mind is bypassed and you have the possibility of encountering your true self.
What you will have a taste of:
Understanding - The difference between acting from presence instead of reaction
Practice - Learn the art of self inquiry with communication exercises (Dyads)
Experience - Active meditation + exercises to ground and support the body dimension.

...what a great decisive way to start the new year with this 1 Intro day group.
Congratulations to those already committed to attend. If the last group's feedback is anything to go by, deeply relaxed bodies and de-stressed, very quiet minds were experienced, with a new 'toolkit' to use in daily work, life and play. Remember to book early to avoid missing out on a place. ♥
Comment by Jayana McMahon on January 27, 2012 at 19:57 It is mind that is your sleep. You are sleeping either in the past or in the future. Both are ways of sleeping.
When I say, "Wake up!" again and again, when Buddha says, "Wake up!" a simple phenomenon is indicated.
Come to the present. Osho
