Isabella, Your post hit a chord with me. It seems most all the posts I have read this morning are hitting a chord. I too have felt unworthy to allow my little girl out and give her an opportunity to play. I think there is this deep seated fear that…

Post 12 in 'The 30 day blogging Challenge' Some what not to do's!!

Well my friends, I have had 'Bloggers Block' since last Friday. I thought I was travelling OK. Some days I was stuck for ideas for my blog, yet I thought that was understandable as I'm relatively new to 'blogging'.
My daughter helped me make some ideas lists, yet unfortunately lists aren't blogs; so there I was, trying to write post No 12, when I became stuck. I really felt like just stopping and giving it all away. "No" I reminded myself,"I'm not quitting!", so I decided to do an internet s… Continue

Post 11 in the '30 day blogging challenge' Nurturing and Caring for ourselves....

I read an article recently about 'How people living in current times are more financially affluent than either of their parents, yet, they are often miserable, stressed, overworked and tired.
I've decided in this blog to write about some practises, rituals and activities, that we can regularly do that may help destress, care and nurture ourselves. Creating a 'balance' is what we're aiming for..

Post 10 in the 30 day blogging challenge. 'The little girl in the Cupboard'

I am delving into another layer of my psyche in this blog. I have been having network for the past eight weeks. Network chiropractic or NSA (founded by Donald Epstein incorporates gentle, light touch, with proven benefits Network Chiropractors, practice world wide.)

Network looks at the extensive nerve network that the innate inborn wisdom of your body coordinates and regenerates and animates all body parts. Every cell of the body is stirred to life by i

Post No 9 in the '30 day blogging challenge'. When the children leave....Regaining Independence...

My youngest daughter is 18. She's studying Year 12. When she finishes school, I am encouraging her to move out with friends. It's really been her decision to do this and I acknowledge her courage and enthusiasm.
It's a bit tougher for kids moving out on their own in the current times. There's so many more things to consider and pull together. Once upon a time, we just moved into a flat or house with a few friends. there may have been a bond, yet as long as we cleaned up when we left it was a… Continue

Post No 8 in the '30 day blogging challenge' My process so far.....

I am working(playing) my way through the book 'Walking in the World' by Julia Cameron. A friend & I decided to tandem in this adventure. Moral support & 'good behaviour re-inforcers', that's what we are! A chapter per week, and we contact each other weeky by phone to discuss the exercises, our responses, our triggers & a general theme or repeating issue of the week.
We keep each other on track!. Sometimes we get to chat for an hour or two, whilst other weeks, we completely miss.… Continue

Hi Isobella. Yes I do have a community choir - we're based in Springfield in the outer West. The choir is open to everyone, no auditions and no previous experience necessary. Our repertoire consists of simple part songs, rounds, chants & anything else that takes our fancy. Choir meets on Tues. from 10am-12pm (during school terms) at the ICA Centre in Springfield. Several times a year the choir gets together with my singng students and we end up with ages 8yrs to 70+ all singing on stage together - wonderful to see!!! Please email me if you would like to find out more.
Love and light
