A friend's partner was telling me about , what he termed ,'giving a bowl session'.
A what? I asked.
He told me about Tibetan SInging Bowls and how he used one bowl, which he rung over the body for healing. While he was telling me about all of this, I remember having a very strong , instant knowing ... of ...'I have to do this'. The next question I asked was where can I learn? He was unable to recommend anyone, as he had lost touch with his teacher.
By the end of the next month I purchased my first Tibetan SInging Bowl from a little shop and I was directed to a teacher. I attended a workshop called Sacred Sound Therapy using Tibetan SInging Bowls and Monastic Instruments. It was at this workshop that I had my first Sound Massage and proudly made the investment in a set of Tibetan Singing Bowls.
So thats how I became interested in Sound Massage. As you can tell .. I love my Tibetan Singing Bowls. I am quite particular about keeping them clear. I sage them between sessions, while stating a healing affirmation. I then wrap them in light.
